Our film production “A Gettysburg Christmas” in January 2023 brought an economic boost to our county and created a community connectivity with vendors, local businesses, restaurants, hotels, as well as homeowners. It was through this experience that inspired us to form our nonprofit, Gettysburg Film Commission.

Securing the financial budget will help secure the future of our programs. The enrichment programs we have planned for Adams County aside from our work as liaison between film production and local businesses and county ordinances/permits, include, a film internship program, high school film student scholarships, our annual summer (Free to the public) program, Cinema Under the Stars beginning June 2024 on Seminary Ridge, our annual four day multi-venue event Gettysburg Cinema Arts Festival coming September 2025, film competition and awards ceremony for our community to partake in.

Cinema Under the Stars is a multi-date event with guest panels introducing the history of our classic film series. Panelists are Professor and Film Historian, Jim Udden from the Gettysburg College, and Bo Brinkman, Writer and Director.
